Anxious or reactive dog handling consent

Muzzle consent

I consent to a correctly fitted basket muzzle being used if my dog's behaviour makes it necessary. A muzzle protects everyone and often lets the appointment finish calmly.

Safe restraint & two-person handling

I consent to gentle, industry-standard restraint including a grooming loop, and to a second handler assisting where that is the safer option.

The right to stop

If continuing would put my dog or the handler at risk, the appointment may be stopped at any point. I will be contacted to collect my dog, and a fee may apply for the time and work already completed.

Partial or staged grooms

I accept that some dogs need the work split across several short, positive visits, and that the first result may be tidy rather than perfect.

Disclosure & responsibility

I have disclosed everything I know about my dog's behaviour. Where reasonable care has been taken, I accept responsibility for injury or loss caused by my dog's behaviour, and understand an incident may be reportable.
