Professional judgement

Your dog's welfare comes before the finish. I authorise the groomer to adjust the style, technique or length where that is safer or more comfortable for my dog.

The realities of grooming

Grooming uses sharp tools, water, heat and noise. Even with careful handling, minor nicks, clipper irritation or stress can occasionally happen — particularly around sanitary areas, paw pads, armpits, ears and face, and with thin, aged or sensitive skin.

Pre-existing conditions

A groom can uncover things hidden under the coat: skin conditions, lumps, ear infections, parasites or old injuries. Finding them is not the same as causing them. I will be told about anything discovered.

Health disclosure is my responsibility

The health, medical and behavioural information I have provided is accurate, and I will notify the business of any change before each appointment.

Collection & late pickup

I will collect my dog at the agreed time. Late collection beyond the notice period shown below may attract a fee, and if my dog cannot be collected and I cannot be reached, the business may arrange care at my expense.

Behaviour & the right to stop

If my dog becomes distressed or unsafe to handle, the groom may be paused or stopped and I will be asked to collect my dog. A fee may still apply for the time and work already completed.

Reasonable-care release

Where the business has taken reasonable care, I release it from liability for stress, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, or reactions that occur despite that care. Nothing here limits my rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
